[post_content] => With its compact, bearingless, maintenance-free design, the new TF 300 Series Torque Flange Sensor from Magtrol brings many appealing advantages to torque measurement applications. The TF’s high torsional rigidity supports direct mounting on the machine shaft or flange, avoiding the use of couplings on one side. This allows easy integration into a test system, shortens the overall length of the test bench and reduces costs.
Based on strain-gauge technology, the TF 300 Series Sensor’s precise telemetry system enables highly accurate signal transmission. A signal amplifier mounted in the measuring flange amplifies the measuring signal, modulates it to high frequency and transmits it inductively (via the HF transmitter) to the receiver. In the receiver, the digitized torque signal is transformed into an analog output signal of ±10 VDC. Rotational speed can be measured and converted to a TTL output signal with the optional speed pickup.
The contactless design of the Torque Flange Sensor permits a gap of up to 5 mm (typically 1 to 3 mm) between the rotor antenna and HF transmitter, which makes the signal acquisition insensitive to any axial or radial misalignment. Another advantage of this torque measurement system is its insusceptibility to signal interference—due to the fact that, unlike other designs, the antenna does not need to be looped around the sensor. Additionally, a protective cover can be mounted close to the sensor with no effect on the signal.

[post_content] => Magtrol’s In-Line Torque Transducers provide extremely accurate torque and speed measurement over a very broad range. Each model has an integrated conditioning electronic module providing a ±5 VDC (±10 VDC) torque output and an open collector speed output. Magtrol Torque Transducers are very reliable, providing high overload protection, excellent long term stability and high noise immunity.
All transducer models employ our unique non-contact differential transformer torque measuring technology. This measuring technology offers many benefits, most notably that no electronic components rotate during operation.
To provide customers with several price/performance options, Magtrol offers three torque transducer models: basic model (TMB Series), high accuracy (TM Series) and high speed with high accuracy (TMHS Series).
Each transducer consists of a hardened stainless steel shaft with smooth, splined or keyway shaft ends, an anodized aluminium housing containing the guide bearings and an electronic measurement conditioner.
The integrated electronic circuit, supplied by single DC voltage, provides torque and speed signals without any additional amplifier. The transducer is a stand-alone measuring chain. Connections are made by means of a 6-pole male connector mounted on the housing. A removable aluminium base (delivered as standard with TM Series and TMHS Series models, and as an option for TMB Series transducers) allows fixed mounting of the transducer.

With its compact, robust and maintenance-free design, the Magtrol RT 100 Series Reaction Torque Sensor has many favorable features. Based on strain-gauge technology, the RT Sensor provides highly accurate signal transmission. The RT 100 Series Torque Sensor has been designed to perform static torque measurement and dynamic rotation (with limited angle) in both clockwise and counterclockwise direction with high precision. The sensor measures small-reaction torque levels using flange-to-flange connections in-line with the component under test. Its design with a center through hole allows the pass through of a shaft, cables or pipes. Main field applications include actuator and valve testing, fastener testing, pump testing and automotive braking.
