5242 – Power Amplifier

5241 Power Amplifier

Description du produit

The Model 5242 is a voltage-controlled power amplifier designed exclusively for Magtrol’s Model HD‑825 Hysteresis Dynamometer. Because of its double braking system, the HD‑825 requires more than 4 amps of power in order to reach full torque. The 5242 (which can provide up to 5 amps of output current) is necessary in order to amplify the power between the DSP7010 Controller (which has a maximum current output of 1 amp) and the HD-825 Dynamometer.

Specifications

Courant de sortie 0 to 5 A DC
Tension de contrôle d'entrée 0 to +3 V DC or 0 to -10 V DC
Fusible (5×20 mm) Brake: UL/CSA IEC 6.3A 5A 125 250 VSB VT
Power (120 V): UL/CSA 3A 250 VSB
Power (240 V): IEC 1.25A 250 VT
Puissance requise 330 VA
Tension requise 120/240 V 60/50 Hz

Ordering Information

If the HD-825 is purchased without a dynamometer controller, please inform Magtrol of your controller model—as it may be necessary to modify your existing controller so that it functions properly with the 5242 Power Amplifier.

Each channel outputs the specified pulses per revolution of the encoder shaft, and is 90° phase-shifted in order to determine direction when used with the appropriate counter/timer DAQ board. The device incorporates an infrared optical switch and disk assembled into a rugged aluminum housing. The encoder is supplied with an 8 mm rectangular key for easy alignment to a Magtrol PT 25 Base Plate.

[post_content] => Magtrol Coupling Guards are easily removable and designed to mount in front of Magtrol HD Series Dynamometers. They are also available for some WB Series Dynamometers.

Coupling Guards help keep objects from vertical interference and aid in preventing accidental coupling contact during rotation. The guard length required will change according to the coupling size used with the dynamometer.

Magtrol Coupling Guards are not explosion proof and are not intended as protection against catastrophic coupling failure.

[post_content] => The TCBS Thermocouple Connection Barrier Strip provides a method of connection the data acquisition device, which is usually installed in the main console, to the device being monitored up to 3 meters away. All eight thermocouples pairs are bundled into a single cable and terminated in a die cast aluminum box with barrier strip jackets for easy connection.

Interconnection errors can be avoided by using the barrier strip with the relevant thermocouple extension or compensation material. The strips are marked to identify the alloy and polarity.

The box can be supplied with optional T-nuts for easy mounting to a T-slot table or Magtrol PT 25 Base Plate.
