Product Description

Magtrol-Burster offers a comprehensive line of micro-ohmmeters, from simple units which provide rapid measurements in the field, to laboratory instruments that provide automatic inspection with a high degree of measuring accuracy. The product line has measuring ranges from 200 µOhm; to 200 kOhm, with resolutions up to 1 nOhm, and all units can use temperature compensation to generate the most accurate readings. These testing instruments are designed for the highest demands in industry and use the proven 4-wire measurement method designed by Kelvin to cancel any lead resistance errors inherent in less sophisticated 2-wire systems. Typical applications include measurements on: Coil, Motor, and Transformer windings, as well as contact resistance on Switches, Relays, and Push-button contacts with low measuring current. In conjunction with a digital ohmmeter, Magtol-Burster offers clamping devices for monitoring the production and quality assurance of wires, rails, cables and sector conductors.


Model 2329

For Fast Precision Measurement in Automated Processes

The Resistomat Model 2329 is particularly suitable for quick measurements of low resistances in automated processes. Fifty measurements per second can easily be performed.

The PLC interface allows the easy addition of external lights and buzzers to make the unit suitable for production settings.

Test of Airbag Triggers

Airbag triggers are tested by a Resistomat Model 2329-v801 in a test stand. The measurement conditions, such as measuring current < 10 mA and load voltage < 2 V, which are an absolute must, are guaranteed with Model 2329-v801. The triggering of the t est unit and the control of the production line are performed by a PLC. The information “okay” or “not okay” about the test sample is provided by the Resistomat Model 2329-v801. The PC is used for the parametric setting of the test unit, such as measurement range and the limit values, as well as for the registration and statistical evaluation of the measuring data.

Wire and Cable Measurement

Model 2383 – The New Generation of Cable Precision Measurement.

The new maintenance-free clamping technology 2383 is designed to measure the resistance of aluminium and copper cables for precisely reproducible results. A short cable sample is enough. Suitable for cable cross-sections up to 2500 mm².

By applying forces of up to 100 kN the new clamping technology of burster overpowers whatever thick oxide fi lm. The uniform power supply is ensured. Due to an exact dosing of the applied torque, reproducible reference values for resistance are achieved.
