Magtrol’s SBB15 Signal Breakout Box is designed to assist in the monitoring of speed, torque, and index signals obtained from either a Magtrol dynamometer or torque transducer. The easy-to-use SBB15 is simply inserted in series between a Magtrol controller and any Magtrol dynamometer or torque transducer. Connections are made via D-Sub 15 signal cables.
Speed, torque, and index signals are outputted through BNC connectors to an oscilloscope or other DAQ instrumentation device. Switching to the external encoder will switch the Tach A, Tach B, and Index signals, while the Torque signal will still be passed through from the dynamometer or torque transducer. The SBB15 Signal Breakout Box is a convenient and reliable accessory that reduces the necessary wiring required for signal monitoring.

The TCBS Thermocouple Connection Barrier Strip provides a method of connection the data acquisition device, which is usually installed in the main console, to the device being monitored up to 3 meters away. All eight thermocouples pairs are bundled into a single cable and terminated in a die cast aluminum box with barrier strip jackets for easy connection.
Interconnection errors can be avoided by using the barrier strip with the relevant thermocouple extension or compensation material. The strips are marked to identify the alloy and polarity.
The box can be supplied with optional T-nuts for easy mounting to a T-slot table or Magtrol PT 25 Base Plate.

[post_content] => Die Wirbelstrombremsen der WB-Reihe sind vielseitig einsetzbar und hervorragend geeignet für Prüfaufgaben bei hohen Drehzahlen in mittleren bis hohen Leistungsbereichen. Das Bremsmoment einer Wirbelstrombremse ist drehzahlproportional und erreicht seinen Maximalwert bei der Nenndrehzahl der Bremse. Der kleine Rotordurchmesser der Bremse garantiert ein niedriges Trägheitsmoment. Die Bremse wird wassergekühlt, wobei das Wasser durch den Stator geleitet wird. Dank dieser Kühlung eignen sich die WB-Bremsen für hohe Dauerbelastungen (max. 140 kW). Wirbelstrombremsen der WB Reihe verfügen über eine Genauigkeit von ± 0.3 % bis ± 0.5 % vom Skalenendwert, abhängig vom Typ und dessen Konfiguration.

Funktionsprinzip der Wirbelstrombremsen
Die WB Reihe Wirbelstrom entwickeln ihre volle Leistung bei hohen Drehzahlen. Die WB Reihe ist besonders für Motoren vorgesehen, die mit hohen Drehzahlen bis 80 000 min

Optischer drehzahlaufnehmer
Jede Leistungsbremse der WB Series hat einen optischen Drehzahlsensor, der standardmäßig geliefert wird. Die
WB 32 hat einen optischen Drehzahlsensor mit 4 PPR (Impulse pro Umdrehung) , WB 43 und WB 65 HS haben einen Drehzahlsensor mit 30 PPR ; die WB 65, WB 115 & WB 15 haben einen optischen Drehzahlsensor mit 60 PPR.

If currents continuously reach above 20 amps, an external sensor must be used. Magtrol offers three different types of external shunts for use with Magtrol Power Analyzers. The HA Series shunt, designed for power cable hook-up utilizing 3/8-16 screws, has an insulating base and can be mounted on conductive surfaces. The LAB Series shunt also comes with an insulating base, along with thumb screws for the power leads and knurled nuts on the sensing terminals. The FL Series is a relatively small bus, bar-mounted shunt with large end blocks. The comparatively large end blocks and short spacing aid in cooling and allow the shunt to operate in more extreme environments. All shunts are calibrated on equipment with current certifications traceable to N.I.S.T.

Magtrol’s EMA Series Stand Alone Encoder provides a squarewave output on two channels for up/down counting or free-runmotor speed measurement applications. Each channel outputs the specified pulses per revolution of the encoder shaft, and is 90° phase-shifted in order to determine direction when used with the appropriate counter/timer DAQ board. The device incorporates an infrared optical switch and disk assembled into a rugged aluminum housing. The encoder is supplied with an 8 mm rectangular key for easy alignment to a Magtrol
PT 25 Base Plate.
