The Model 5242 is a voltage-controlled power amplifier designed exclusively for Magtrol’s Model HD‑825 Hysteresis Dynamometer. Because of its double braking system, the HD‑825 requires more than 4 amps of power in order to reach full torque. The 5242 (which can provide up to 5 amps of output current) is necessary in order to amplify the power between the DSP7010 Controller (which has a maximum current output of 1 amp) and the HD-825 Dynamometer.

The HA Series shunt, designed for power cable hook-up utilizing 3/8-16 screws, has an insulating base and can be mounted on conductive surfaces. The LAB Series shunt also comes with an insulating base, along with thumb screws for the power leads and knurled nuts on the sensing terminals. The FL Series is a relatively small bus, bar-mounted shunt with large end blocks. The comparatively large end blocks and short spacing aid in cooling and allow the shunt to operate in more extreme environments. All shunts are calibrated on equipment with current certifications traceable to N.I.S.T.

Verschiedene Adapterringe (separat erhältlich) können kundenspezifisch angepasst werden, um mehrere Motoren auf der selben Befestigung prüfen zu können.
FMF Feste Motorenbefestigungen können auf jeder von Magtrol’s langen Grundplatten mit T-Nute der Serie HD-800 Leistungsbremsen oder jedem Hysterese-Prüfstandtisch mit genuteter Tischplatte (TAB°1457S, TAB 0800L und 0825L) montiert werden. Die Befestigungen sind mit einer exakt angeordneten Passfeder am Plattenboden ausgestattet für eine einfache Zentrierung. Ebenso enthalten sind vier verstellbare Klemmhebel und T-Nuten.
