The 5212 is a 0-1A current-regulated 24 VDC power supply and display that is designed for use with Magtrol’s hysteresis brakes and clutches. It features a 10-turn current adjustment potentiometer and 3 selectable current ranges: 200 mA, 500 mA, and 1000 mA. A convenient built in panel meter displays the value of output current.

The 5212 is designed as a closed-loop power supply to provide smooth application of current throughout an entire range up to a maximum set point. By utilizing regulated current, fluctuations in brake torque caused by temperature changes within the brake coil are eliminated. Braking current can be controlled manually from the front panel using the 10-turn potentiometer. Alternatively, if remote operation is required, the 5212 can be controlled by an external source using the 0-5 VDC control input located on the rear panel.

When torque control/torque measurement must be performed at the highest possible power, Magtrol BHB Series Hysteresis Brakes are ideal. This design allows for continuous power ratings up to 6000 watts (7000 watts intermittent). Use of pre-loaded bearings in the BHB Series Hysteresis Brakes allows operation at speeds of up to 20,000 rpm for extended durations.

BHB Brakes are conveniently base mounted. Base mounting, with integral barrier type terminal strip, provides easy mounting and wiring.

                    [post_content] => Wie bei Hysteresebremsen entwickeln Hysteresekupplungen ihr Drehmoment ausschliesslich durch die Magnetkraftübertragung über einen Luftspalt. Dadurch wird eine absolut sanfte Drehmomentübertragung vom Antrieb zum angetriebenen Element garantiert.                     [post_content] => Sollen Drehmomentmessung bzw. Drehmomentsteuerung bei höchstmöglicher Leistung erfolgen, sind die Hysteresebremsen der Serie AHB ideal. Durchgehende Rillen in der Bremse sorgen für Druckluftkühlung und dadurch hervorragende Wärmeableitung. Die Bauweise ermöglicht Dauerleistungen bis 3000 Watt (5300 Watt periodisch). Der Einsatz von vorgespannten Lagern bei den Hysteresebremsen der Serie AHB gestattet sogar Geschwindigkeiten von bis zu 25,000 U/min über einen längeren Zeitraum.

Die Bremsen der Serie AHB sind praktisch auf einer Grundplatte montiert. Die Grundplattenmontage mit einer integrierten, abgrenzbaren Klemmleiste bietet einfache Montage und Verdrahtung.
