5251-2 – Current Regulated Power Supply

Model 5251-2 is an open frame, 0-1A current regulated power supply for use with Magtrol hysteresis brakes and clutches. It has a high input impedance that allows for a variety of sensors and transducers to be used. It features a selectable 0-100 mV/0-5 VDC monitor out that allows connection to a PLC, voltmeter, display or other monitoring device. This allows the user to monitor the current applied directly to the brake or clutch, if desired. With regulated current, torque drift caused by temperature changes within the brake coil is eliminated. Braking control is enabled by using either a 10-turn potentiometer or by an external 0–5 VDC control signal.

It features a 10-turn current adjustment potentiometer and 3 selectable current ranges: 200 mA, 500 mA, and 1000 mA. A convenient built in panel meter displays the value of output current.
The 5212 is designed as a closed-loop power supply to provide smooth application of current throughout an entire range up to a maximum set point. By utilizing regulated current, fluctuations in brake torque caused by temperature changes within the brake coil are eliminated. Braking current can be controlled manually from the front panel using the 10-turn potentiometer. Alternatively, if remote operation is required, the 5212 can be controlled by an external source using the 0-5 VDC control input located on the rear panel.

[post_content] => Seit vielen Jahren entwickelt Magtrol Hysteresebremsen mit grossen Durchgangsbohrungen (Hohlwellenbremsen) ohne Welle und ohne Lager. Diese Bremsen werden für Zugregelungen bei Ummantelungs-, Flechtprozessen oder bei Flyerarm-Zugregelungen eingesetzt. Magtrol- Hohlwellenbremsen werden beispielsweise bei der Herstellung von Kabeln, Drähten, optischen Fasern, Seilen und Bändern verwendet. Diese Bremsen zeichnen sich durch ihr sanft wirkendes, wiederholgenaues und in grossem Masse drehzahlunabhängiges Drehmoment aus.
Magtrol-Hohlwellenbremsen setzen sich aus zwei Bauteilen zusammen : einer Stator/Gehäuse-Einheit und einem Rotor. Die Stator/Gehäuse-Einheit wird normalerweise stationär in die Maschine montiert. Der Rotor wird hingegen auf der Welle befestigt und dreht konzentrisch in der Stator/Gehäuse-Einheit.
Die Stator/Gehäuse-Einheit sowie der Rotor werden mit Standardbohrungen und -befestigungsbohrungen geliefert, wobei auch kundenspezifi sche Ausführungen lieferbar sind. Gewisse Änderungen an der Bremse, wie beispielsweise grössere Durchgangsbohrungen, können die technischen Daten der Bremse jedoch beeinfl ussen. Zubehör, wie Rotor-Montagefl ansche, Speisegeräte, Drehmoment/Strom-Kurven und Varianten mit anderen Spulenspannungen, sind ebenfalls lieferbar.
Betriebsberücksichtigung
Anmerkung zur Fluchtung
-
- Die Stator/Gehäuse-Einheit und der Rotor werden separat versendet.
- Die ordnungsgemäße Fluchtung der zusammengehörigen Bremsbauteile bei der Endmontage liegt im Verantwortungsbereich des Maschinenkonstrukteurs.
- Die Komponenten müssen so montiert werden, dass die Konzentrizitäts- und Fluchtungsabweichungen zwischen Rotor und Stator die vorgeschriebenen Toleranzen nicht überschreiten.

Zusatzinformation
Bei Nominalstrom erreichen Bremsen mit serienmäßigem Innendurchmesser normalerweise bessere Bremsmomentwerte als die garantierten Minimalwerte. Es können auch Bremsen mit größerem Innendurchmesser geliefert werden. Jedoch kann es mit zunehmendem Innendurchmesser zu einer Reduktion der Leistung kommen. Jegliche Modifizierung der Hohlwellen-Hysteresebremse sollte vor der Bestellung eingehend mit Magtrol besprochen werden.

[post_content] => Magtrol’s Permanentmagnet-Hysteresebremsen und –kupplungen eignen sich hervorragend für Einsätze, bei denen die Bremse oder Kupplungsspule nicht mit elektrischem Strom versorgt werden kann. Obwohl sie bestens für Anwendungsfälle geeignet sind, bei denen ein festes Drehmoment einwirken soll, können speziell auf das Anforderungsprofil abgestimmte Verstelleinheiten angefertigt werden. Diese Bauteile werden normalerweise als Bremseinheiten geliefert, können jedoch durch Ergänzung einer Eingangswelle auch als Kupplung verwendet werden.
