Magtrol’s Permanentmagnet-Hysteresebremsen und –kupplungen eignen sich hervorragend für Einsätze, bei denen die Bremse oder Kupplungsspule nicht mit elektrischem Strom versorgt werden kann. Obwohl sie bestens für Anwendungsfälle geeignet sind, bei denen ein festes Drehmoment einwirken soll, können speziell auf das Anforderungsprofil abgestimmte Verstelleinheiten angefertigt werden. Diese Bauteile werden normalerweise als Bremseinheiten geliefert, können jedoch durch Ergänzung einer Eingangswelle auch als Kupplung verwendet werden. Bei einer Kupplungsanwendung wird das Stator/Gehäuse-Bauteil zum Antriebselement und die Rotor/Wellen-Einheit zum angetriebenen Element der Kupplung, wobei Drehmomente durch ein Magnetfeld im Luftspalt übertragen werden.
