open Open
Open a PDF document located on your hard drive, removable media or network.
expand zoom tools Zoom In Tool (see below)
Click on the down arrow to expand zoom tools.
save a copy Save A Copy
Save a copy of the current PDF document to your hard drive, removable media or network.
zoom in tool Zoom In Tool
After selecting, click on the area you wish to magnify or click and drag over desired area.
print Print*
Prints the current PDF document. Hint: Select
"Shrink oversized pages to paper size" for A4.
zoom out tool Zoom Out Tool
After selecting, click on the area you wish to reduce or click and drag over desired area.
find Find
Find a complete word or part of a word in the current PDF document.
expand text tools Text Select Tool (see below)
Click on the down arrow to expand text tools.
expand search tools Search (see below)
Click on the down arrow to expand search tools.
text select tool Text Select Tool
After selecting, insert cursor and click and drag to select text then copy to the clipboard (Ctrl+C).
search Search (In Reader 5.0 and later)
(Not currently used in Magtrol PDF documents.)
column select tool Column Select Tool
After selecting, insert cursor and click and drag to select column then copy to the clipboard (Ctrl+C).
search results Search Results (In Reader 5.0 and later)
(Not currently used in Magtrol PDF documents.)
graphics select tool Graphics Select Tool
After selecting, click and drag to draw a rectangle around the graphic then press Ctrl+C to copy.
previous highlight Previous Highlight (In Reader 5.0 and later)
Only used with search engines that support PDF search highlighting (see help for more info.)
Zoom Out
Reduces magnification of document.
next highlight Next Highlight (In Reader 5.0 and later)
Only used with search engines that support PDF search highlighting (see help for more info.)
Magnification Value Box
Type a value or select by clicking on the down arrow.
navigation pane Show/Hide Navigation Pane
Displays the Bookmark and Thumbnail panes.
Zoom In
Increases magnification of document.
first page First Page
Goes to first page in document.
Actual Size
Displays the document to its actual size, typically 100%.
previous page Previous Page
Goes to previous page in document.
Fit in Window
Resizes the page to fit entirely in the document pane.
next page Next Page
Goes to next page in document.
Fit Width
Resizes the page to fit the width of the document pane.
last page Last Page
Goes to last page in document.
reflow Reflow (not used in Magtrol PDF documents)
Rearranges text & resizes graphics on screen so that text always remains at its original size.
previous view Go To Previous View
Retrace your path within a PDF document back one step.
expand rotate tools Rotate View Clockwise (see below)
Click on the down arrow to expand rotate tools.
next view Go To Next View
Retrace your path within a PDF document forward one step.
rotate clockwise Rotate View Clockwise
Rotates page clockwise 90°. Hint: Make sure print orientation is same as page.
hand tool Hand Tool
After selecting, click on the page and drag to move it around the document pane.
rotate counterclockwise Rotate View Counterclockwise
Rotates page counterclockwise 90°. Hint: Make sure print orientation is same as page.
