Application
Magtrol designed this Custom Motor Test System specifically
to test Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) motors in a laboratory
environment. The ABS to be tested is comprised of 12-volt
DC motors with speeds up to 6000 rpm, 425 oz·in (3 N·m)
output and 200 amps peak current draw.
Coupling
The dynamometer is fitted with a special eccentric coupling
that offsets the eccentric output of the ABS motor shaft,
converting it to centric rotation.
